Tutorial: HD PVR on a Computer monitor. Component to HDMI Conversion.

Hey guys Fc here, and this is a tutorial on how to connect your HD PVR into a Computer Monitor. Some people want to know how to play xbox or ps3 on a computer monitor while still be able to use their Hauppauge to Record in HD.   8. @Goodman1300 umm then you cant really use a HD pvr.. well i think im not sure do some research thats what im doing before i buy one of these

  9. If I did everything in the video, would I be able to plug my X11’s straight into the 3.5mm output on my monitor and still get good sound quality?

  11. @gamingmaster303 they may have component inputs but people that buy monitors to play on are more than likely looking to play gamebattles or go to LAN tournys with their monitors to get the MLG experience, considering that what they use at MLG events. and on the monitors they use HDMI so they have no lag, and with component on a monitor more then 50% of the time you will have some type of delay on your screen which throws everyone off. especially if your competitive.

  14. will work a normal cable from HDMI to Component aswell? because i got 2 cables of that. 1 goes from my ps3 to my PVR and another 1 from my PVR to my TV but its says NO SIGNAL. plz help me

  15. Hi tanks for the tutorial but i dont now if i need to pay a program for Mac for Recording with my HD PVR … What is you’ aplication for recording on you’r mac ? I dont want to pay if you have a free HDPVR application … (bad english i’m french)

  17. I did all of this except, my monitor has a dvi outlet, so i bought a hdmi to dvi cable. For some reason it doesnt work, can anyone help me out?

  19. Please, if anybody knows…How can you get Arcsoft to not delay from realtime? Mine is delayed by about 2 seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  24. Is it important that the monitor is hd? Because i have a DVI to HDMI plugin, and from there the hdmi cable into the converter and so on, and it doesent work :s

  25. when you have doen this, can you go to system settings and consolde and display, and change the resolution to 720p or 1080i?
