  1. I got a question: so the auxes here are just used for the personal mixes of the musicians, right?, not to what the audience is hearing and what about the time-based effects that need to be sent post when you don’t have enough auxiliaries?, what would you do in that case?

    think he should understand more so that’s just his way , not the only … a mixer can be used therefor hooked up in many ways

  12. @motojeff Hi there! Thanks for your help. I now have figured out how to make it work. I took the mixer home with me today and experimented on it. What I did before why the AUX are not getting any effects(reverb) is because while I am testing it I cut off completely the sliders down while adjusting the AUXes for effects. What I discovered is that in order for the AUX to get effects in its busses is to not to completely cut off the channel sliders.

  13. @joab302016 You can, but you have to be creative about it. You can take the effects return and plug it into a channel. Then you can use that channels aux sends to send reverb into that channel. And you can use the main slider to add effects to the room.

  14. Can you put effects like reverb on Aux bus?
    My problem is that our Yamaha EMX5014C mixer seems to not include effects in the AUX bus. Can you explain that to me. Thanks.

    - I tell the band that if they refuse to turn down that no one will hear the vocals and I will do my best but am not responsible if it sucks.

  18. send the re-verb into a mixer channel and just add it back to the monitor send, use the channel out to send it to the mains.

  19. You could get an 8 channel headphone mixer amp, and use the direct outs or put a 1/4 cable into the insert jack on each channel to the first click. If you go all the way in, it will intercept the signal.

    whats the cheapest way to gain more monitor mixes? we have 4 aux sends and the other two which are post fader we use for reverb/effects and the other subwoofer, so we only have 4 mixes for monitors. Usually thats plenty, but we use in ear, and I need for channels for monitors! Suggestions?

    how to make the verb go to the aux send for the singer as well as FOB

    my band did 250 shows onne year and we always pointed our amps in to us the sound guys loved us and we heard every thing great .I dont under stand why bands dont get that

  23. That’s not how you use dynamic processing, you don’t send audio to the unit like FX, you insert the unit into the desired channel or group.

  24. You are a champion. Excellent tutorial. The one thing I was wondering was for dynamics. I understand the reverb units would need to be post fade but would a compressor be better pre fade so you can EQ the compressed sound or is that generally not smart?
