Is it beneficial to use identical monitors when using dual screen with Vista?
I’m going to buy a second monitor to increase my desktop space… I’ve heard that it’s a good idea to at least use two monitors that are the same size and have the same max resolution, I’ve also been told that I should actually use the exact same brand/model. Is there truth to either of these claims?
the most common way to use dual monitors is to have them side by side and extended…meaning that you can drag a folder or icon or window from one screen to the next. If both monitors are the same then they ahve the same resolution and moving back and forth between the two is smooth.
However, if you have say a 20" and 17" monitor…one’s resolution might top out at 1280×1024 while the other might be 1600×1050…so when you drag something over it might look weird. Where you might see the full web page on the larger screen, dragging it over to the smaller screen willl force you to scroll…
It’s more asthetics than anything.
